Amitabh Bachchan has been associated with several social causes, one of the major ones being tuberculosis. The actor, who suffered from TB, wants to bring about an awareness about this dreaded disease. Big B said, “Everyone knows that I am a tuberculosis survivor in the year 2000. We were able to detect it in time and went through an entire course. Today, I am now tuberculosis free. It is better to be in the knowledge of the fact that you are carrying some virus and get it treated than, god forbid, face a bad finality.” Bachchan had just recently revealed that he was suffering with TB, which came as a shocker to the whole world.
