Rani Mukerji has given birth to a baby girl and the proud parents have christened her Adira. The name has been derived from the first part of her parents’ names, Aditya and Rani. While thanking her well-wishers and fans, Rani said, “Life has given us God’s greatest gift with Adira. We thank all for their unconditional support and blessings. We begin this new chapter in our lives with joy.”
The news of the actress being admitted to a south Mumbai hospital kept trickling in and within a few hours, on December 9, Rani gave birth to a beautiful girl.
Rani, whose news of pregnancy was doing the rounds since long, almost quit being in the public eye and stayed away from all the work and events for better health and less stress. She married the Yash Raj Films’ scion and filmmaker Aditya Chopra in a very private ceremony in April 2014.
It is said that in a day or two, Aditya Chopra will take Rani Mukerji and Adira home.
