Audiences expected a clash at the box office this republic day in the form of ‘Padmaavat’ vs. ‘Pad Man’. However, it has been confirmed that ‘Pad Man’ starring Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte, has now been pushed to February 9th.
With ‘Pad Man’ being the second Hindi film, after ‘Aiyaary’, to move out of battle with the Sanjay Leela Bhansali magnum opus, the fictional periodic drama will now enjoy a solo release over the long holiday weekend.
Akshay Kumar’s ‘PadMan’ will share a release date with Sidharth Malhotra’s ‘Aiyaary’ when it hits theaters on February 9. ‘Padmaavat’ is scheduled to release on 25 January, with paid previews organized for 24 January.
