Anushka Sharma rode pillion as Varun Dhawan cycled for close to 10 hours in the sweltering heat at Chanderi
The makers of Sui Dhaaga – Made in India have all intention to bring out the reality of India on screen. The stars of the film – Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma – play the characters Mauji and Mamta respectively and they hail from the heartland. As we all know, cycle is the mode of transportation that people generally use in these places and Varun and Anushka will also be seen cycling in the film.
“The makers are keeping everything real in the film. From the look of the characters, to the costumes, to elements that resonate the milieu of the heartland of India – everything is relatable and real. This is extremely important for the makers as they want to pull the audiences into the world of the film,” says a source close to the project.
Varun and Anushka have indeed outdone themselves to get into the skin of their characters in Sui Dhaaga – Made in India! The two superstars are sporting never-seen-before looks that have become huge talking points given how authentic and perfect they are basis the setting of the film.
“People in the heartland use cycles to commute and Varun has shot elaborate scenes on the cycle. Anushka and Varun shot for over 10 hours on the cycle one day. It’s already summer now and the sun was beating down on them. By the end of the day, both were quite exhausted,” the informer reveals.
A film about finding love and respect through self-reliance, Varun and Anushka starrer Sui Dhaaga – Made in India is a heart-warming story that celebrates the spirit of self-reliance. The film’s plot is inspired by the hugely acclaimed Make In India campaign. While Varun plays the role of a tailor, Anushka plays an embroiderer in the film.
Both champion actors, Varun and Anushka have been paired for the first time and are definitely the most-awaited on-screen jodis of 2018. The National Award-winning, dream-team of director Sharat Kataria and producer Maneesh Sharma seems to have taken the bar of perfectionism several notches higher with the looks they have crafted for their leading actors.
Yash Raj Films’ entertainer Sui Dhaaga – Made in India is set to release on September 28 this year, right before Gandhi Jayanti.
