Kangana Ranaut will bring to life the fearless warrior Rani Laxmi Bai in her upcoming release ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’. Speaking about the action in the film, Kangana says, “While the British Army used En field rifles, Rani Lakshmi Bai preferred swords. I was fascinated with those 150-200-year-old authentic weapons we used in the film that were in circulation in 1857! The shield I used weighed around 5 kilograms.” With a lot of preparation involved, the team of ‘Manikarnika’ could manage to shoot only one or two scenes a day. The film is finally in its post-production and will release in January.
