Sonam Kapoor’s last few releases may not have been money-spinners but that doesn’t deter her passion for acting. The actress has signed a challenging role for her next. Sonam will be seen playing the lead role as a blind character in a female-eccentric film. She will feature in the Hindi remake of the 2011 South Korean crime thriller ‘Blind’. Sujoy Ghosh, who has directed thrillers like ‘Kahaani and ‘Badla’ is the creative producer on this project which is touted to be an ‘out-and-out female-hero story’. Sujoy’s friend Shome Makhija will be directing Sonam Kapoor in this venture. Sonam was seen in two films this year ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ and ‘The Zoya Factor’ both tanked at the box office.
