The 69th Filmfare Awards were announced over the weekend and in the famous show, ‘12th Fail’ turned out to be the dark horse. Not only did ‘12th Fail’ receive the Best Film award, its director Vidhu Vinod Chopra bagged the Best Director trophy as well. Not stopping here, Vikrant Massey was awarded the Best Actor Critics’ choice as ‘12th Fail’ also received the Best Screenplay and Best Editing trophies! Best Actor In A Leading Role (Male) went to Ranbir Kapoor for ‘Animal’ while the Female award was bagged by his wife Alia Bhatt for her performance in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’. Bhupinder Babbal and Shilpa Rao went home with Best Playback Singers in their respective categories for ‘Arjan Vailly’ (‘Animal’) and ‘Besharam Rang’ (‘Pathaan’).
