Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Emergency’ has encountered a series of delays, with its release initially pushed back due to controversies and certification issues. The movie faced backlash from Sikh groups and struggled to secure approval from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). According to recent media reports, ‘Emergency’ has now been granted a U/A certificate with conditions. The CBFC has mandated specific edits and the inclusion of disclaimers addressing the film’s portrayal of historical events. Despite this progress, ‘Emergency’s’ release date remains uncertain. It was originally scheduled for September 6th but has been delayed since the film was first submitted for review on July 8th. Kangana Ranaut has acknowledged the postponement, noting that the team is still awaiting final certification from the board.
