Kareena Kapoor Khan is back with a bang. She not only shines in this suspense thriller, but also is producing it alongside Ekta Kapoor. It is a murder mystery which is emotional and will have you on the edge of your seats.

Trigger warning: The audience is opened by flashback of Kareena Kapoor’s character Jasmeet Bhamra or Jass as she likes to be called, recalling her son’s accidental death. One will feel her pain as she faces the killer of her own child in the court room scene.

Jass decides to leave the city and transfer her job only to be faced with a case of a missing teenage boy. Will she take the case or still be haunted by her past?
As Kareena takes on the case the mystery starts to unfold. Who could it be and where is the child’s school bag? Kareena’s emotions sets this apart as she is always reminded of her own grief while trying to solve this case. Kareena’s performance is top notch. I could not stop thinking about her pain even as the credits rolled which had me glued to my seat.

Hansel Mehta’s direction is excellent with beautiful fall scenery by the lake which adds an international flare to the visual.

All in all if you love a gripping murder mystery, then The Buckingham Murders is for you. With plot twists and emotions, this one is worth a watch.
