Randeep Hooda’s 2024 film, ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ has been officially put forward for the 2025 Oscars as announced by the film’s producers. In a heartfelt social media update, co-producer Sandeep Singh expressed their gratitude stating they were “honored and humbled” by this recognition. He further thanked the Film Federation of India, acknowledging the support they received throughout the project. “This journey has been incredible, and we are immensely grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way,” the post elaborated. The film explores the life of Savarkar and features an impressive cast, including Ankita Lokhande, Amit Sial and Rajesh Khera, alongside Hooda in the lead role. This news follows Kiran Rao’s ‘Laapataa Ladies’ being selected as India’s official entry for the Best Foreign Film category at the upcoming Academy Awards.
