In an exhilarating partnership, Yash Raj Films and British Railways are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Aditya Chopra’s legendary film, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (‘DDLJ’). The festivities will also mark 200 years of the modern railway system in Britain. As part of the Railway 200 events, a musical version of the film directed by Chopra himself will be showcased. The special connection between this adaptation and fans of the beloved movie is undeniable, as the protagonists, Shah Rukh Khan’s Raj and Kajol’s Simran, first encounter each other at London’s King’s Cross Station. The musical, titled ‘Come Fall In Love – The DDLJ Musical’, will debut at the Manchester Opera House on May 29th and will run until June 21st. Originally released in October 1995, ‘DDLJ’ tells the love story of Raj and Simran who meet during a European trip. Despite being betrothed to another, Simran dreams of running away with Raj. Determined to win her family’s approval, Raj spares no effort to ensure their union.
