After a year-long hiatus following the release of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, Aamir Khan is diving back into his passion for filmmaking. Known for his meticulous approach, Aamir has always expressed his deep desire to bring the epic tale of ‘Mahabharata’ to the big screen. While numerous adaptations have appeared on television, Aamir’s vision for this project is grander aiming to create a high-budget film that does justice to the timeless saga. In his conversation with BBC, he revisited his passion for ‘Mahabharata’ admitting, “Well, that’s my dream project and it’s a very scary project. So huge, and I am scared of getting it wrong. It’s a huge responsibility because as Indians, it’s something so close to us, it’s in our blood. So I want to get it right. I want to make every Indian proud. I also want to show the world what India has. I don’t know if it will happen, but it’s something I want to work towards.” Reflecting on his future plans, Aamir also expressed his ambition to balance his acting career by doing one film a year while taking on many more as a producer.
