International megastar Akshay Kumar has sent fans on social media into a frenzy today, after he announced that his much-awaited blockbuster Bell Bottom will release in cinemas worldwide from Tuesday, 27th July.
In what is expected to be one of the biggest films this year, Bell Bottom is a thrilling espionage drama set in the 1980s where Akshay Kumar will take on the lead role alongside, Vaani Kapoor, who will be the leading lady. It was originally due to be released in April, but the pandemic meant that the decision was made to delay the date, so that fans would be able to enjoy it on the big screen.
Directed by Ranjit M Tewari, Bell Bottom will be one of the most unique Bollywood films of all time due to the fact it was the industry’s first film to shoot at an international location after the nationwide lockdown last year, being filmed in the UK.
The entire cast and crew of the film had taken off to Scotland to shoot the movie in a bio-bubble while all had to follow strict procedures to ensure the safety of all on set. This dedication and passion for the cast and crew to make Bell Bottom a success should not be ignored and it will no doubt get fans flocking to the cinemas to see it!
Akshay Kumar took to his social media, to share the good news and to recognise the patience of his 100M+ followers. He posted: “I know you have patiently waited for the release of #Bellbottom.
