Amitabh Bachchan continues with his philanthropic ways as he has decided to pay off the loans of 1,398 farmers from the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. The loan waiver amounts to a sum of Rs 4.05 crores and Big B has arranged for a One Time Settlement (OTS) with Bank of India. What’s more, Bachchan has booked an entire train compartment for 70 farmers to travel to Mumbai and personally receive the bank letters from them at his Mumbai office. On the side lines, the living legend will be awarded with the prestigious Sayaji Ratna Award in a glittering ceremony. He is only the third personality to receive this prestigious award after NR Narayana Murthy and Ratan Tata.
