Anupam Kher is set to play India’s former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in a film based on the book ‘The Accidental Prime Minister: The Making and Unmaking of Manmohan Singh’. The book is written by the former PM’s media adviser Sanjay Baru. Sharing the first poster of the film Anupam Kher tweeted, “To reinvent yourself as an actor is to challenge yourself. Looking forward to portraying Dr Manmohan Singh in ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’.” National Award-winning filmmaker Hansal Mehta has written the screenplay for this political saga which will be directed by debutant Vijay Ratnakar Gutte.
