‘Article 370’, starring Yami Gautam, may be making all the right noises in most parts of the world, but in Gulf countries the film seems to be taking a backseat. Recent news reports suggested that the regions has banned the film supposedly on the pretext of its alleged controversial storyline. The film talks about Special Status to India’s state Jammu and Kashmir which later turned into a Union Territory. Article 370 was then abrogated. The most recent news states that there’s no ban on the film in the Gulf. The makers are rather awaiting certification from the authorities so that they can release the film there. After releasing on February 23rd, ‘Article 370’ has collected Rs 29 crore net at the Indian box office. The film is directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale and is produced by Yami’s husband Aditya Dhar.
