Vidya Balan’s upcoming partition drama, ‘Begum Jaan’ has faced some brutal cuts from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Vidya Balan plays the role of a brothel madam in the film and mouths several abuses and bold dialogues. But the CBFC has instructed to chop off several such scenes. In all, 12 cuts have been ordered with the film being awarded an ‘A’ certification. ‘Begum Jaan’ is directed by Srijit Mukherjee who was also the director of the original Bengali version of the film titled ‘Raj Kahini’. The film will hit the screens on April 14.
