Bestseller India Raises INR 11.1 Million Through Its ‘Give-A-Day-Initiative’

On the 10th of April, 2015, BESTSELLER, the house of iconic European fashion brand organized a unique world-wide charity initiative called ‘Give-A-Day’, through which it committed a day’s revenue towards select charitable organizations.

 

Through this initiative, BESTSELLER India, which houses fashion brands VERO MODA, ONLY and JACK & JONES, announced a generous contribution of INR 11.1 million of which, an amount of INR 5.5 million was presented to Project ‘Nanhi Kali’, towards the cause of educating the girl child.An equal amount was shared between other not-for-profits namely UNICEF, GAIN and SAVE THE CHILDREN.The objective was to raise the standard of living for children worldwide.

The amount raised will positively impact the lives of 800 Nanhi Kalisin rural, tribal and urban poor areas across 9 states in India. The global GIVE-A-DAY initiative on 10th April, 2015 amounted to 15 million Euro of which 50% was donated to local charities in 39 countries. The other 50% was donated to global charities.
