Bhumi Pednekar is not far behind in making her presence felt at the time of a worldwide crisis like coronavirus. The ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ actress is associated with Abhyudaya Ashram, a home and school for abandoned and underprivileged children since her film’s release. She is now teaching them social distancing through video calls. “The terms social distancing and self-isolation need to be hammered into the minds of every individual because such things are a privilege in a densely populated nation like ours. I decided to speak with all the children and the faculty and authorities of the institute through video calling facilities to discuss about Covid-19 and the threat it poses to every one of us,” says Bhumi. She has also helped build toilets and a hostel at the facility.
