Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh-starrer ‘De De Pyaar De’ is racing ahead at the box office despite Lok Sabha elections in India. When people of the second largest democracy voted in the last phase of the elections on Sunday, makers of ‘De De Pyaar De’ were busy counting their money and sprinting towards the bank. On the opening day, the Akiv Ali-directed film collected Rs 10.41 crore, which grew steadily in the next two days. Saturday saw a spike in the figures as the film garnered Rs 13.39 crore at the box office, ending Sunday with marginal improvement at Rs 14.74 crore. ‘De De Pyaar De’ stands at a total of Rs 38.54 crore by the end of three days. The film is an out-an-out comedy and faced no direct competition at the ticket windows at the time of release.
