Ekta Kapoor has come forward to lend a helping hand in crisis. After many Bollywood celebrities are donating towards the noble cause of aiding those affected by the shutdown in India, Ekta has pitched in by forgoing one year’s salary. She will be supporting her staff at Balaji Telefilms with the saved money. “I would forsake my one year salary, that is Rs 2.5 crores, at Balaji Telefilms so that my co-workers don’t have to take a hit during this period of crisis and complete lockdown. The only way ahead is together. Stay safe, stay healthy,” she said. Ekta felt that it was her “first and foremost responsibility to take care” of her entire staff during this unprecedented crisis.
