While the world battles the COVID 19 pandemic, and everything is on lockdown, our brave soldiers continue to guard our borders despite all odds and are away from their families during this crisis.
To pay homage to our brave armed forces, the makers of Fauji Calling, which is ready for release, have launched the poster of the film which stars Sharman Joshi, Ranjha Vikram Singh, Bidita Bag, Mugdha Godse & Zarina Wahab. The poster shows various facets of fauji life, and the struggle of their families.
The film is based on the events around the Pulwama attack and how such attacks not only take away lives of our soldiers, but permanently scar their near and dear ones. The incidents are relatable even today since there are ceasefire violations being committed during the pandemic. Considering the situation and importance of the subject, the makers want the film to release as soon as possible and are considering OTT platforms as well. Speaking on the same, Director Aaryaan Saxena said, “The film is ready, in fact we were supposed to release it in May, but due to lockdown we cannot do it. So, I have discussed with my producers to release it on OTT platforms. Let’s see hope for the best”.
Actor Ranjha Vikram Singh, who has made several efforts to serve the country during the pandemic, including an undisclosed donation to PM CARES fund said, “Fauji Calling tells the story not only of the armed forces, but the untold story of their families as well. Even today, while we all are making sure we are all safe, the soldiers are on still on duty and guarding the country, not just their near and dear. At this time, it’s extremely important to recognize their sacrifice, and that’s why we want Fauji Calling to reach out to audience as soon as possible”.
Fauji Calling has been written and directed by Aaryaan Saxena and produced by Running Horses films and Ovez Productions.
