“After the plague, a Renaissance is sure to follow,” said Jitin Hingorani, Founder & Festival Director. “We dedicate this festival to all the courageous filmmakers who continued to create content while the pandemic raged on. These are the fruits of their labor. Without them, festivals like ours would cease to exist. We are witnessing the beginning of our Celluloid Renaissance!”
The awards ceremony was followed by Swapna Maini’s dance film GANGA: RIVER ETERNAL, juxtaposed with Bharatanatyam and Kathakali performances and a musical finale, all of which received a rousing standing ovation from the audience.
