Film and other related bodies like Indian Motion Pictures Producers’ Association (IMPPA), Indian Film and Television Producers Council (IFTPC), Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) and Indian Film and Television Director’s Association (IFTDA) among others have called to shut down the industry until March 31st. They will then reevaluate the situation before resuming shoots. In the meantime, many film releases are either getting postponed or their shoots are cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Aamir Khan has delayed the next schedule of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ while ‘Sooryavanshi’ release is postponed. Theatres too remain closed.
