For the first time, Filmfare Awards were hosted in Assam and Bollywood celebrities sashayed down the red carpet rolled out in Guwahati. With Karan Johar and Vicky Kaushal managing the hosting duty, it was ‘Gully Boy’ which bagged the maximum awards. From Ranveer Singh taking home the Black Lady for the Best Actor, his co-star Alia Bhatt was awarded with the Best Actress honour. Interestingly, the debut winners – Chunky Pandey’s daughter Ananya and Bhagyashree’s son Abhimanyu Dasani – took home awards, while their parents have never done so! Ayushmann Khurrana, Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar won the critics choice award for their acts in ‘Article 15’ and ‘Saand Ki Aankh’.
