Ranveer Singh looks intense in ‘Gully Boy’, playing a rapper on his way to fame. The film was said to be based on two rappers, Naezy and Divine, who rapped their way from the slums of Mumbai to riches and fame. However, director Zoya Akhtar clarifies, “This is not a biopic, it is a completely fictional story. It is inspired by Naezy and Divine, and their music. They worked with me on the script to make it authentic. There are a lot of things from their life in the film but it is not a biopic, it is a fictional drama.” The film comes out on Valentine’s Day, ie, 14th February.
