Sonakshi Sinha’s ‘Khandaani Shafakhana’ takes on the subject of sex and the leading lady decided to openly speak about the taboo topic as she inherits a sex clinic in the film. Speaking about why she took up this film, Sonakshi said, “The reason I chose to do this film is the subject and how relevant it is even in today’s day and age. I am glad that Shilpi decided to make a film about the sex taboo in our country… it’s a very brave attempt. I would like to encourage people to follow Baby Bedi’s tagline, that is, ‘Sharmao mat, baat toh karo!'” Directed by Shilpi Dasgupta, the film showcases how Baby Bedi (Sonakshi) builds a campaign to break the stigma around sex in our society. ‘Khandaani Shafakhana’ is scheduled to hit the screens on August 2.
