Thugs of Hindostan’ was banking on its China release to make up for the losses it has faced in India. However, it seems like the Chinese market has taken up some precautionary measures. If reports are to be believed then distributors in China had decided on a minimum guarantee deal with producers Yash Raj Films, for an amount of Rs 110 crore, but the offer is being re-negotiated to a profit-sharing deal. Under performance and negative reviews in the domestic circuit resulted in box office loss for the producers, despite the film being massively promoted and marketed. Besides the profit-sharing program, ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ will also have a shorter run time, with Amitabh Bachchan and Fatima Sanan Shaikh’s roles being edited.
