After a delay of two years, Kangana Ranaut and Sunny Deol’s ‘I Love NY’ was finally released on July 10, 2015. Unfortunately the film failed to strike a chord with audiences and opened to a poor response at the box office. The project was announced in 2011, and filming had begun that same year with a scheduled release in mind sometime during 2013. However, due to a multitude of delays the release was held back for two more years causing the film to sink at the box office. Kangana was apparently against the release of the film, stating her and others discontent with the way it had turned out. She even sent a legal notice to producer Bhushan Kumar when he attempted to release the film without her permission. The film so far has received poor reviews from critics, however this tiny failure cannot compare to the successes Kangana has recently seen with films like ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ and ‘Queen’.
