On the occasion of International Earth Day, Hallway Foundation had organized an event to spread awareness on environmental issues and the need to conserve the resources of mother earth. The Foundation is headed by Founder, President Hrishikesh Chury who is a philanthropist and a playback singer. International Earth Day is celebrated annually on 22nd April and worldwide events are held to demonstrate support for Environmental protection. International Earth Day was first celebrated in 1970 and is now celebrated in more than 193 countries each year.
Many celebrities like Jacky Bhagnani, Tina Ahuja, Tulip Joshi, Luke Kenny and Vinod Shankar Nair attended the event and pledged to support the initiative of Hallway Foundation. Noted environmentalists and eminent speakers shared thoughts on energy conservation, curbing pollution. The program saw musical performances by Playback singers like Sajid Khan, Kavita Seth, Pandit Bhavdeep Jaipurwale, Paroma Dasgupta, Raja Hassan, Bhargavi Pillai, Sudeep Jaipurwale, Raaj Ashu and Pragya Dasgupta. The event was hosted by famous RJ and host Nitin Kakkar. Child artist Ishaan Khopkar who was last seen in the movie Banjo also shared his ways of protecting the environment.
President of Hallway Foundation, Shri Hrishikesh Chury stated that, “I am extremely delighted and humbled to see celebrities and dignitaries of all walks of life come and support the cause. We shall always look forward to do our bit towards saving and protecting the environment and the earth.” Also seen were the Cyclist Association groups, The Beach Clean Committee members. Hallway Foundation launched a few projects along with the Government of Maharashtra, Mumbai Traffic Police and Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM).
