Irrfan Khan has finally revealed the rare disease he has been suffering from. Issuing a statement, the ‘Hindi Medium’ actor said that he was suffering from Neuroendocrine Tumor, “The unexpected makes us grow, which is what the past few days have been about. Learning that I have been diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Tumor as of now has admittedly been difficult, but the love and strength of those around me and that I found within me has brought me to a place of hope.” The ‘Piku’ actor also added that he will be going out of the country for treatment.
What is Neuroendocrine Tumor?
Neuroendocrine tumor (NETs) is abnormal mass which grows in the neuroendocrine cells that produce hormones in our body. It can either be malignant or benign and is majorly diagnosed in people who are aged 50 or above.
