For six days, Lance Naik Hanumanthappa Koppad had survived the extreme conditions of Siachen, before being rescued by the army personnel. The entire nation and Bollywood had been praying for his speedy recovery, however he passed away on Thursday morning. “I was very saddened and I believe the entire nation too was feeling hurt. A person who survived for six days under so much of snow, after that hopes were high that he would survive. And it was very disheartening, he had survived for six days but then life left him. It was very sorrowful,” expresses Javed Akhtar.
