The Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ is releasing next Friday, but the film has already courted a bit of controversy just before its release. The Yash Raj Films’ production is raising eyebrows thanks to a sex-determination scene which appears in its trailer. The Delhi High Court will hear a plea which was moved on Wednesday against the film. ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ shows prenatal sex determination through ultrasound which is banned in India. Hence a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) is filed in the court by a Youth Against Crime NGO through advocate Pawan Prakash Pathak. The social comedy is produced by Maneesh Sharma and ironically promotes the message of ‘Save Girl Child’ and talks against female foeticide. Filmmakers and its lead actor Ranveer Singh are yet to talk about the controversy.
