Disney Junior just released an exciting Bollywood dance music video to promote the upcoming release of “Mira, Royal Detective”!
The music video was choreographed by Nakul Dev Mahajan (“So You Think You Can Dance”), who is the series’ dance consultant and choreographer. Deepak Ramapriyan (“Basmati Blues”) the series’ music consultant and orchestrator, arranged the song in the music video, which is a mash-up of the “Mira, Royal Detective” theme song and “We’re on the Case”.
There is also a fun Easter egg in the video! Leela Ladnier, the voice of Mira, appears in one of the crowd scenes! See if you can find her!
Set in the magical Indian-inspired land of Jalpur, the series introduces a brave and resourceful girl named Mira, a commoner who is appointed to the role of royal detective by the queen. The show features some of the top South Asian actors in Hollywood, including Jameela Jamil, Freida Pinto, Kal Penn, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Hannah Simone, Aasif Mandvi, and Aparna Nancherla. “Mira, Royal Detective” will debut on Disney Channel and Disney Junior on Friday, March 20.
