Varun Dhawan, who plays the lead in Shoojit Sircar’s thriller ‘October’, was asked not to sleep for an entire week to look sombre for a few scenes. Sircar instructed Varun to not sleep for a few days or have minimum sleep, of an hour or two, every day for a week. Without hesitation, the actor followed the director’s vision and what translated on camera was spectacular, or so they say. Updating on the same, Shoojit shared, “A couple of scenes with Varun required extensive emotional outbursts, a performance that showed him totally exhausted in his overall demeanor, coupled with a tired voice. So I asked him to not sleep at night prior to the scenes.” The first trailer of ‘October’ will be showcased early next week, while the film is gearing up for a release on April 13.
