Vivek Oberoi-starrer ‘PM Narendra Modi’ was scheduled to hit the screens last week. However, following a whole lot of controversy, the film’s release has been postponed until the Lok Sabha elections in India conclude. The Election Commission of India stated that any film, serving to promote any political or individual entity, should not be displayed in the electronic media. The biopic, which is touted to give an insight about India’s current Prime Minister’s humble beginnings, was to hit the screens on April 11. While the film has been cleared for release, the EC reportedly felt that its content has the potential to affect the level playing field.
