R Madhavan has played the role of a doting husband on-screen several times and the actor is set to play out the journey of a married life once again in Tanu Weds Manu Returns. Sharing his idea of a safe marriage, Madhavan said, “I think that it is an ever changing world so adaptability would be the first thing… also intense amount of respect. You need to respect the other person’s choices, feelings and emotions and give them the space to behave like that. The most important thing is fame. If you keep tabs on what they are doing, giving rise to a situation where mistrust will develop then there will be mistrust. This is my idea of a safe marriage.”
