According to a Tuesday update from a corporate hospital, Rajnikanth’s condition is stable and he is expected to return home within two days. The 73-year-old superstar was admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Chennai on September 30th due to severe stomach pain. Medical staff reported that he had a swelling in the aorta, the main blood vessel from the heart which was successfully addressed using a non-invasive transcatheter procedure. The hospital reassured fans and supporters that the operation went smoothly. Looking ahead, Rajinikanth will be starring in the upcoming film ‘Vettaiyan’, alongside Amitabh Bachchan. The movie’s prevue was revealed at a grand event in Chennai on September 20th marking a significant reunion for the two icons after their last collaboration in the 1991 classic ‘Hum’.
