Salim Akhtar, a luminary in Bollywood’s golden era bid farewell to the world on April 8, 2025 at the age of 82. His passing marks the end of a chapter in Indian cinema where his vision and dedication shaped the careers of stars like Rani Mukerji and Tamannaah Bhatia. Akhtar’s funeral held on April 9 at the Irla Mosque graveyard, saw heartfelt tributes from industry stalwarts including Raj Babbar, Raza Murad, Firoz Khan and Shahbaz Khan.
