Salman Khan has been found guilty in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. The quantum of punishment was announced as five years of imprisonment for the actor along with Rs 10,000 fine. However, the actor’s lawyers are immediately applying for bail in the Rajasthan high court so that the actor doesn’t have to spend the night in the jail. Salman will also appeal against the verdict. The Jodhpur court acquitted Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Neelam in the same case, who were allegedly accompanying the star in the jungle. Salman has been convicted under Section 9 of Wildlife protection act.
