February, the Valentine’s month of Year is about to start and in order to make it more enchanting, noted singer from Kolkata, Soumita Saha is coming up with a song titled Ishq. The song would be Soumita’s first international release and is being released by Miami (United States) based music label LoudDj Records on February 1. The music of the song has been composed in collaboration with Kraxus, a Mumbai based DJ-cum-Music Production led by Kalpesh Kashid.
When asked why she chose the date Feb 1 for the song release, Soumita says “This is the time most couples get elated for the ensuing Valentine’s Week. I wanted to give them an anthem for the 2018 Valentine’s Day”.
According to Soumita, “2018 has just begun on an unbelievable note for me. Music has always been my refuge from absurd situations in life. Having grown up in a musically infused environment, I knew Raag Kaafi’s thaat even before stepping into Kindergarten. My father is a renowned Rabindrasangeet exponent and it was he who originally inspired me to explore every genre of music I could relate to. He encouraged me to spread my wings of creatively. Recently, when Kalpesh approached me for the song Ishq, I felt it was something I must do. Even though it was a bit challenging task, I was provided with absolute artistic freedom which helped me in getting things done easily”.
The song Ishq would be available for download on various music streaming sites including iTunes, Spotify and Amazon Music.
