Sonam Kapoor has joined hands with Fight Hunger Foundation and is their first Goodwill Ambassador to help raise awareness about malnutrition. The Mumbai based NGO approached Sonam to take up the cause. “I have been speaking on feminism, health issues and body image issues. But we never think of something basic like food, shelter and clothing, especially someone like me who comes from an affluent background,” says Sonam. In order to understand how big an issue malnutrition is, Sonam visited Medical Nutrition Therapy production unit at a Mumbai hospital. “I went to Sion Hospital and was very moved looking at barely 3-month-old babies and their parents. I have been given so much, so I want to give back to the society,” shares Sonam.
