Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan is set to receive the esteemed Honorary Leopard Achievement Award at the 77th Locarno Film Festival. Recognised for his unparalleled influence and a storied career spanning over three decades, Khan recently embarked on a journey to Switzerland. The actor famed for his prolific filmography and a highly anticipated collaboration with his daughter Suhana Khan, is in Switzerland to accept the Pardo alla Carriera Ascona-Locarno award. Scheduled for August 10th 2024, the award ceremony at Piazza Grande will celebrate Khan’s significant impact on global cinema, acknowledging his role in over 100 films. Following the ceremony, Khan will engage in a public discussion on August 11th at 5 pm at Cinema GranRex. Due to overwhelming interest, the event has been relocated to a larger venue and will be broadcast live, allowing fans worldwide to participate. Additionally, a special screening to honour Khan’s contributions will take place on August 10, culminating with a presentation of his acclaimed film ‘Devdas’ (2002) on August 11 at 10 pm.
