Sunny Deol who is celebrated for his powerful action roles in iconic films like ‘Ghatak’ and ‘Arjun’, shared his admiration for southern filmmakers during the trailer launch of his upcoming film ‘Jaat’ produced by Hyderabad-based Mythri Movie Makers. Known for the blockbuster ‘Pushpa’ series featuring Allu Arjun, the production house won praise from the veteran actor for their approach to filmmaking. Reflecting on his experience, Deol remarked, “My producers are so good. I want producers of Bombay to learn (from them). You all call it Bollywood, but first refer to it as Hindi cinema and learn how to make cinema with love (from South filmmakers). They focus and enjoy the subject, rope in the director, show trust in his vision, and leave no stone unturned in achieving that. The story is the hero. I thoroughly enjoyed working with all of them.” Fresh off his successful return to the big screen with ‘Gadar 2’, Deol humorously hinted at settling in the South saying, “I told the makers, ‘Let’s do another film’. Maybe I shall go and settle in the South.” He also expressed concern about Hindi filmmakers losing touch with their cultural roots by adopting Western influences.
