Following Swara Bhasker’s critique of X (formerly known as Twitter) for permanently suspending her account due to copyright issues, she revealed on Instagram that her account had been hacked. She posted screenshots of messages from X regarding the incident. Swara wrote on her Instagram, “And now… my Twitter/X account it would seem has been hacked!” She added several notes, the first one stating, “More drama with my X account.” Swara mentioned that she was locked out of her X account on January 30th because of a copyright violation. When she attempted to log in, she discovered that two-factor authentication had been disabled. On January 31st, she received an email about a stranger receiving a delegation invite from her account. This means that the new account can now send direct messages, create lists and groups, and even post from her account. She wrote, “I have not sent anyone such an invitation. The blue tick-verified account @ReallySwara is still visible on X but I now have no access to it. It seems my account has been hacked.” On Thursday, Swara stated on Instagram that her X account was suspended over a Republic Day wish.
