Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Tamil film will go in top gear once the lockdown is lifted. The makers and stars are getting ready to report back on the set as the lockdown nears an end, unless it is further extended in some parts of the country. Ash’s Tamil mega-budget, ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, directed by Mani Ratnam, will now have a long, one-stretch shooting schedule. The third schedule of the Ash-Vikram-starrer was to begin just before the industry shutdown. Since a large portion of the film still remains to be filmed, the director is trying for the bulk dates from the stars for the start-to-finish schedule. The makers of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ are reportedly looking at releasing the first part of the film in 2021.
